Meet Christine, Speech Pathology Assistant
Why did you choose allied health?
I’ve always had a strong desire to help and work with people. Allied health provides me the opportunity to combine my experiences, knowledge, and passion to make a difference and have a positive impact. I’m able to transfer my love of learning and life through meaningful connections, while also supporting individuals and their families through challenges they face.
What are your preferred practice areas?
I love working with children and am still exploring the world of Speech Pathology, though I’m particularly drawn to early language, literacy, and social skills/pragmatics.
What do you enjoy doing on your weekend?
If I’m not getting lost amongst bookshelves, I’m baking something sweet (90% of the time cookies) or relaxing by the water with my husband and furry child.
What is your favourite thing about your profession?
Sparking joy and wondering, while also being a pillar of support for children and their families.
